It's Right Around The Corner...

For some it is a day filled with love and perhaps some flowers and candy, for others it is a dreaded day which is labeled a "Hallmark" holiday...yes it is VALENTINES DAY! I am a combination of both. While I am married and will most likely (aka BETTER) receive some sort of sweet gift, I do agree that it is a holiday created to make money. As a result Bill and I have taken to a low key Valentine's Day. Lets face it, flowers and candy are overpriced, and restaurants are packed! Who wants to deal with that on a day where you are supposed to celebrate your love for someone?! Luckily I love to cook and he loves to eat. I have purchased the Cajun Cooking Cookbook so that I can make us a fun dinner and not spend an arm and a leg for Valentine's Day dinner prices (V-Day is on a Sunday folks so there is plenty of time to make dinner). So whether it be with your boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife, or a group of friends, I hope everyone has a day filled with love!
