almost as good as eating it

August 13, 2009 09:48 by Sara

Love eating over the top fatning foods but hate all the calories?  Well theres a blog for that! Tongue out  A recent trend in blogging is that of the food blog.  Pictures of food, recipies, trendy cupcake blogs, blogs about food in different states and cities and more have made their way onto the web and into your homes.  Upon engaging in some googling earlier, I found a blog dedicated to Ramen noodles.  Who knew that something I have adored since elementary school would become such a household staple, and even further get its own blog!  At http://www.ramenramenramen.net/ you can watch commercials about ramen, find and share new and unique recipies and even review products.  Another great food blog is http://www.allthingscupcake.com/, with all the pictures of cupcakes you could ever want.  All of these blogs (besides making me hungry) made me think of what a great promotion a blog really is.  Having a blog makes consumers interested in your product, and even keeps them up to date on new and exciting changes.  However, think about the possibilities when someone actually recieves something tangible from your brand!  Not only does it give them an incentive to buy from you, but with items like a keychain or a t-shirt, the brand will constantly be present.  Many food companies, such as the ones mentioned, may choose to advertise with various food products.  Over at Motivators.com we have an array of candy, cookies, chocolate and popcorn promotional products.   Think about the exposure a brand (or even blog!) can receive by giving out samples of their product.  Just please, no samples of this:

Hidden Messages

June 5, 2009 10:32 by Sara

It is very important when you begin to develop a logo for your brand that it is something eye catching, memorable, and most of all appealing to your target audience.  From billboards, to commercials to promotional products, you will find new, fun and interesting logos displayed that are designed to become recognizable and make the product more alluring.  There are many brands that chose to create logos with hidden messages.  The arrow that is hidden in the Fed Ex logo, or the 31 that’s displayed in the Baskin Robbins logo are examples of how an unexpected hidden object can bring ordinary text to life.  There is even meaning in the Amazon.com logo, with the arrow pointing from A to Z; showing that they carry everything you could want.  This makes the company logo all the more fun and interesting to the public, bringing even more attention to their brand.  Here at Motivators, we like to play around with logos and help you chose the perfect promotional item that will ensure your brand becomes recognizable and fun.

My Computer Broke :(

March 25, 2009 07:39 by Sara

So… a really sad event occurred this week Embarassed. After work I went home and as I went to turn on my computer I got the message “Keyboard Failure”; a minute later only to be prompted to press the F1 key.  Does this make sense to anyone?  Not at all.  After speaking on the phone with someone from Dell for 2 hours and then trekking what seems like a 50 pound tower around Long Island for 3 hours with my mom, I decided it may be time to let a good friend go.  This computer has been in my house for 7 years and it’s a great computer but apparently the motherboard broke and now she’s really gone for goodL.  R.I.P.  Anyway, with every broken computer comes an opportunity to buy a brand new, virus free one which excites me greatly.  I’m going shopping this weekend to look for this new edition in my life, I know really thrilling stuff.  And I am making a promise to myself to treat this one right.  I figure a good way to start off this new laptop lifestyle would be to invest in some Promotional Computer Accessories.  Maybe even get a promotional computer bag, or laptop sleeve to carry around my new purchase.

For all of us Idol lovers out there....

March 18, 2009 10:52 by Sara

As a first time blogger, I figured I would just put myself out there and share my guiltiest pleasure with the world.  American Idol.  It has everything you could want, suspense, entertainment, celebrity appearances, laughs, a lot of good (and bad) singing, and of course the ever-popular Ryan Seacrest (does anyone miss Brian Dunkelman?).   The talent this year has been un-parallel to any previous year in that each contestant brings their own unique perspective to the particular genre.   I know for example last night, fan favorite contestant Adam Lambert performed “Ring of Fire” accompanied by a sitar.  Quite strange indeed, however memorable enough to gain potential notoriety.  Other favorites include Anoop-Dogg and Lil Rounds (just because Simon calls her “Little”).

Idol has come to be known for its overt product placement.  The judges are always drinking out of Coca Cola cups, and in the past the contestants have done “mini-commercial’s” singing and dancing in, on top of, under and around Ford cars.  It has yet to be seen if they are going to continue doing these commercials this year, but I can only imagine the kind of exposure and business these brands have gained through Idol.  This just goes to show you how effective promotional products can really be.  Imagine the possibilities when you brand your logo on a promotional 16 oz stadium up, promotional tee shirts or maybe even promotional MP3 players (to listen to all of your favorite Idol contestants, of course.)
